Why Amending Is So Important
We know that cannabis is a nutrient hungry plant. Properly amending your soil allows those plants to more efficiently access those nutrients, and keeps nutrient reserve banks available as well. When micro and macro nutrients are in proper proportions, nutrient lockout is prevented. By adding global amendments to your soil along with Biological Inoculations you build living soil that increases nutrient cycling and micro-organisms populations which improves overall plant health.
We highly recommend our amendments are used in conjunction with any of our Soilscape Solutions Feed Chart and our Phylloscape Foliar Fertilizer.
Looking At Our Bulk Amendments
We have formulated three global amendments to suit all soil cultivation styles. We also create Custom Amendment Blends based on Soil Sample Analysis feedback from our resident Soil Scientist. Powdered Amendment
- Foundational Formula 5-5-2 (Mixed Light/Indoor Cultivation)
- About – Our Foundational Formula is a specially designed organic amendment blend created for use in gardens which employ an additional foliar and/or liquid nutrition plan. Foundational Formula provides available foods for microbial decomposition and is fortified with mineral components that make this mix an ideal fit for the farmer with top quality product in mind.
- Inputs – Feather Meal, Alfalfa Meal, Bone Meal, Nitrogen Bat Guano, Calcium Silicate, Fish Bone Meal, Shrimp Meal, Sulfate of Potash, Blood Meal, Gypsum, Potassium Magnesium Sulfate, Volcanic Ash, and Calcitic Lime
- Application Rate – 10-15 lbs per yard of material being amended. (1 yard = 200 gallons of volume)
- Double Depper 6-5-1 (Mixed Light/Full Term Cultivation)
- About – Double Depper is an organic global amendment package designed to provide optimum soil nutrition for two successive light deprivation crop cycles. It provides instant soluble nitrogen for quick establishment and vigorous vegetative growth, and slow release nitrogen for copious flower development. Multiple sources of phosphorous ensure excellent root health and premium flower quality.
- Inputs – Fish Bone Meal, Feather Meal, Gypsum, Phosphorus Bat Guano, Calcium Silicate, Volcanic Ash, Nitrogen Bat Guano, Peruvian Guano, Calcitic Lime, Blood Meal, Fish Meal, Shrimp Meal, Trace Mineral Additive, and Sulfate of Potash
- Application Rate – 12.5 lbs per yard of material being amended (1 yard = 200 gallons of volume)
- Mothership Mix 6-5-1 (Full Term/Full Sun Cultivation)
- About – Mothership Mix contains a nutrient balance specifically designed to meet the demands of Full term, full sun cannabis plants. We also incorporate beneficial biological inputs that assist in bringing the power of our Moth-ership Mix to its fullest potential.
- Inputs – Fish Bone Meal, Feather Meal, Gypsum, Phosphorus Bat Guano, Calcium Silicate, Volcanic Ash, Nitrogen Bat Guano, Peruvian Guano, Calcitic Lime, Blood Meal, Fish Meal, Shrimp Meal, Trace Mineral Additive, and Sulfate of Potash
- Application Rate – 25 lbs per yard of material being amended (1 yard = 200 gallons of volume)
Soil Building Amendments
- Soilscape Solutions Static Forest Compost
- About – The rich, living nature of Soilscape Solutions Compost makes it a perfect addition to depleted soils as it revitalizes soil, increases organic matter and increases pest insect and disease resistance. This fungal dominated static compost is used to inoculate depleted soils and compost piles, an addition to potting media in raised beds/pots.

- Application Rate – Apply globally at 2-5% of total soil volume
- Soilscape Solutions Soil Building Worm Castings
- About – Worm castings have a tremendously beneficial impact on crop quality, by increasing microbial populations. The result is not only healthier soil, but also more robust and disease resistant plants. The castings are derived from earthworms that are feed a specially chosen feed stock which results in the highest quality worm casting available anywhere on the market. Soilscape Solutions Soil Building Worm Castings processed and screened to ultra fine 1/8″ uniform particle size for easier application and better diffusion into soil.
- Inputs – Static composted forest debris
- Application Rate – Apply globally at 2-5% of total soil volume
- Soilscape Solutions Biochar
- About – The unique biological activation process that we have developed results in a biochar material that is charged, matured, and instantly ready to help your soil produce vigorous plants.
- Inputs – This biochar is made from wood biochar, worm castings, and rice hulls.
- Application Rate – Apply globally at a 3% rate of total volume. Only apply one time.
We have your soil covered from top to bottom. Stop buying new soil. We have no doubt, after amending with our products, what you had, will be better than what you could buy elsewhere anyway.
Once soil is fully amended we suggest watering it in to activate the micro-biology with our Soil Activation Protocol which helps build healthy, organic, living soil!
