Cover Crop

This 100% organic soil-building blend is designed to enhance soil health and provide essential benefits for crop production. The mixture includes Biomaster Peas, Common Vetch, Purple Vetch, Dunsdale Peas, Cayuse Oats, and Lana Woolypod Vetch, all of which work together to fix atmospheric nitrogen, suppress weeds, control erosion, and provide green manure for soil enrichment.

Application Rates:

• 3 lbs per 1,000 sq. ft.
• One 50 lb bag (at a 2.5 lb application rate) covers approximately 1/2 acre or 20,000 sq. ft.

Germination: 5-10 days
Estimated Cover Crop Height: 3-5 ft.

Chop and Drop Protocol:
For faster decomposition, use the Chop and Drop Formula to activate the biological process in your cover crop. This method includes the following products:

• Tainio Biodigester: 0.035 mL per gallon
• Pac Grow Oceanic Hydrolysate: 10 mL per gallon (Shake prior to measuring!)
• Rhizothrive BioStimulant: 5 mL per gallon
• Yucca: 2 mL per gallon
• Tainio Pepzyme Clear: 1 mL per gallon

Chop and Drop Application:

• Add the mixture to your water storage and allow it to activate, ideally with aeration, for 5-10 minutes.
• Once activated, spray the mixture onto your chopped cover crop. For optimal coverage, apply 600 gallons of solution per 10,000 sq. ft.

Optional: Apply a layer of organic rice straw to help insulate and protect your microbial activity.
